With la forteresse, her fifth album, at 30 years old Pomme delivers her most personal project, which she produced entirely herself for the first time alongside her touring musicians.
Conceived as a four-chapter fable of emancipation, the record draws inspiration from Japan, the United States, and France, oscillating between medieval mythologies and the world of Miyazaki. Recorded largely live at Studios de la Fabrique, it brings together intimate folk, piano-vocal arrangements, synthesizers, and sweeping orchestrations.
